1. Introduction

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Melajoom Foundation website at melajoomfoundation.org (“the website”) and any services provided through it, including the scholarship application process.

By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

2. About the Foundation

The Melajoom Foundation is a registered non-governmental organisation based in Owo, Ondo State, Nigeria. References to “the Foundation”, “we”, “us”, or “our” in these terms refer to the Melajoom Foundation.

3. Use of the Website

3.1 Permitted use

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You are permitted to:

  • Access and browse the website for personal, non-commercial purposes
  • Submit a scholarship application if you meet the published eligibility criteria
  • Contact the Foundation through the channels provided on the website

3.2 Prohibited use

You must not:

  • Use the website in any way that violates applicable Nigerian law or regulation
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form on the website

4. Scholarship Application Terms

4.1 Accuracy of information

By submitting a scholarship application, you confirm that all information and documents provided are accurate, complete, and genuine. The Foundation reserves the right to verify any information submitted, including by contacting the relevant institutions or authorities.

4.2 Disqualification

The Foundation reserves the right to disqualify any application and withdraw any award at any stage if:

  • Any information provided in the application is found to be false, misleading, or fraudulent
  • Documents submitted are found to be altered, forged, or inconsistent with other information provided
  • The Academic Goals Essay is found to contain plagiarised or AI-generated content
  • The applicant is found to have applied under false pretences

4.3 Selection decisions

All decisions made by the Foundation regarding scholarship applications are final. The Foundation does not operate a formal external appeals process for unsuccessful applicants.

4.4 Acceptance of award

Successful applicants will be notified of their award by email. The award notification will set out the terms and conditions of the scholarship. Recipients must confirm acceptance of the award and agreement to its terms by email reply within four weeks of the notification date. Offers not accepted within this period will lapse and will not be reallocated.

4.5 Reapplication

Unsuccessful applicants and previous scholarship recipients may reapply in subsequent intake cycles, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria at the time of application.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, graphics, logos, and the Melajoom Foundation name and brand, is the property of the Melajoom Foundation and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or republish any content from this website without the prior written permission of the Foundation.
